Our First Snow in Takamatsu |
Monday January 28th
2013
Hello everyone!
I wish I had a lot to
report on this week...Unfortunately...I don`t.
We tried contacting
Iz**** Shimai...no luck. We had a lesson scheduled with Oz*** (family) but
when we showed up she said she was too busy. Ush**** Shimai came and dropped
us off presents right before Eikaiwa. She gave us back the Finding Faith in
Christ movie we gave her. And said she couldn`t believe it. She said she might
be interested one day but her and her son got in a big fight about religion. So
she can`t really talk with us anymore.
The rest of the week
was finding and contacting PI`s....Unfortunately...no one really wanted to
listen... It was a LOT of finding time. We actually didn`t even get to teach a
single lesson this week. This might seem really discouraging, and it was. We
still have faith that the Lord is involved in His work. We know that if we push
just a little harder this week, He will be able to bless us. We`ve had so
many miracles lately, it was bound time for us to have a little trying period.
But hopefully that is over and we will keep working full throttle for the rest
of the week. The Lord wants us to be successful. With the drop of a net He can
make us successful just like He did with His apostles with fishing. But only we
can show our faithfulness to Him. As we show our faithfulness. As we keep
working and persevering, He will be able to bless us with even more blessings
than we can handle until our boats are about to sink. This week I`m ready to be sunk. :)
We do have some
lessons lined up for this week! So that is great. We are meeting with a couple
of good PI`s. We are really excited about them! Hopefully there will be good
news about them next week.
It definitely has
gotten chillier here in Takamatsu. I don`t know how cold, but definitely the
coldest so far. We even got some snow last night! It was all melted by 9 am
this morning...But that was a fun change of scenery.
Although the week was
a little blah, Is**** San got baptized!! Yay!! It was probably not like a normal
baptism. He didn`t want it to be a big deal. There was only 8 people there. But
the Spirit was definitely there and you can just tell that Heavenly Father was
so proud of His son. He is making the steps in the right direction onto the
path of Eternal Life. We are definitely so happy for him!
Well. I wish I had
more news for all of you. But...I really don`t.
I love you all!
-Dobson Shimai
